What is it?

Tell me more about Rachel’s Vineyard

Rachel's Vineyard is a safe place to renew, rebuild and redeem hearts broken by abortion.

The weekend retreats offer a supportive, confidential and non-judgmental environment

where women and men can express, release and reconcile painful post-abortive emotions.

In Rachel’s Vineyard, the process of restoration, renewal, and healing takes root.

Because of the emotional numbness and secrecy that often surrounds an abortion

experience, conflicting emotions both during and after the event may remain unresolved.

These buried feelings can surface later; sometimes, many years later. Men and women

can experience depression, anxiety, guilt, self-condemnation, substance abuse, intrusive

thoughts, flashbacks, and other painful symptoms.

How can I learn more about post-abortion pain?

“Forbidden Grief: The Unspoken Pain of Abortion" by Theresa Burke with

David Reardon is an excellent resource for education on this subject, available through

Amazon.com.

You can read more about the common emotional and spiritual aftermath

of abortion at The Elliot Institute online at www.afterabortion.org or at the Rachel’s

Vineyard national website at www.rachelsvineyard.org.
